Fully Private · No Shared Schedule

Private Yacht Charter in Raja Ampat

Exclusive use of a hand-selected phinisi or superyacht, with a fully customized 3 to 14-day itinerary — from USD 1,900 per night.

Folio I · In Brief

A private yacht charter is exclusive hire of an entire vessel and its full crew. You set the route, the dive plan, the menu, and the pace. No other passengers, no fixed schedule, and no compromise between guests who don’t know each other.

What Makes a Private Charter Different

What Makes a Private Charter Different

On a shared liveaboard, the route is fixed before you book and you share the boat with 12–20 strangers. On a private charter, you and your party are the only guests aboard. The crew works for you alone.

That changes everything — you can wake up at sunrise to photograph Piaynemo without negotiating a group consensus, anchor in a quiet bay for the entire afternoon if the snorkeling is good, or sail an extra hour to reach a karst lagoon you only just heard about.

Who Charters Privately

Who Charters Privately

Four traveller profiles dominate our private-charter bookings:

  • Honeymoons and couples — intimate two-cabin phinisi with candlelit deck dinners and dawn karst paddles.
  • Multi-generation families — safety-first vessels with shallow-draft access to gentle reefs and child-friendly cabins.
  • Friend group expeditions — six to twelve adventurers on a dive-heavy or photography-focused route.
  • Milestone celebrations — birthdays, anniversaries, and corporate retreats where the yacht becomes a floating private venue.

Fully Customizable Itineraries

Charters run from a 3-day Dampier Strait sampler to a 14-day Four Kings expedition that covers Wayag in the north, the Equator Islands, the Dampier Strait, and Misool in the south. The 7-day charter is our most popular — long enough to reach Wayag or Misool with two full dive days, short enough for most international itineraries.

You set the dive priorities, the snorkel time vs. hiking time balance, and the menu preferences (we have hosted everything from vegan to halal to Japanese kaiseki). The captain adjusts each day around sea conditions and what you enjoyed yesterday.

Frequently Asked Questions

— I

What is the difference between a private charter and a shared liveaboard?

On a shared liveaboard, the route is set before you book and 12–20 other guests are also on board. A private charter is exclusive use of the entire yacht and crew for your group only, with the itinerary built around your preferences day-by-day.
— II

What is the best private yacht for families?

For multi-generation families, sailing catamarans like Magia II are recommended for their stability, shallow draft, and child-friendly cabin layout. The Dampier Strait route is also gentler than Wayag or Misool for first-time sailors.
— III

When is the peak charter season?

October through April is the calmest season with 20–40 metre visibility and manta aggregation peaks. May through September is still sailable on the southern route through Misool, with quieter anchorages.
— IV

Do I need diving certifications?

Not for a general charter. PADI Discover Scuba and Open Water courses are available on most yachts. Non-divers can still snorkel, kayak, and hike the karst viewpoints — the experience does not depend on diving.
— V

How do I reach Sorong?

Fly into Domine Eduard Osok Airport (SOQ) via Jakarta (CGK), Makassar (UPG), or Manado (MDC). Our concierge meets you at arrivals and the transfer to your yacht is approximately 20 minutes.
