Emerald Inlets

Kabui Bay — Sheltered Karst Anchorage

A protected bay of emerald karst inlets, perfect for kayaking, sheltered anchorages, and private island lunches.

Folio I · In Brief

Kabui Bay (or Teluk Kabui) is a deep, sheltered bay on the western edge of Waigeo island, ringed by karst cliffs and small islets. It is one of the calmest anchorages in Raja Ampat and a favorite stop for kayak-focused itineraries.

The bay is wide enough to spend an entire morning paddling between karst inlets without circling back. Stand-up paddleboards work just as well as kayaks here; the water is mirror-still by 6 AM.
