Dive-Focused Charter

Private Liveaboard in Raja Ampat

A dedicated dive charter with PADI MSDT instructors, Nitrox onboard, and up to four dives a day across the world’s richest reef.

Folio I · In Brief

A private liveaboard is a private charter shaped entirely around diving. Up to four dives daily, dive briefings led by Rendi Arumakori (PADI MSDT, marine biologist), Nitrox available on selected vessels, and a route built around the dive sites you most want to log.

Why Liveaboard Beats Resort Diving

Why Liveaboard Beats Resort Diving

Raja Ampat’s best dive sites are dispersed across an archipelago more than 40,000 square kilometres wide. A resort can only run day trips to the immediate Dampier Strait. A liveaboard sleeps on top of the next dive site — meaning you wake up beside Cape Kri at first light, dive the cleaning station before any day-trippers arrive, and have an unhurried surface interval before the second drop.

Over a seven-day charter you can log 18–22 dives across the Dampier Strait, Misool, and the Fam Islands, in conditions that range from gentle drifts to advanced channel currents.

Signature Dive Sites

Cape Kri (Dampier Strait) — holds the world record for fish biodiversity, with 374 species recorded in a single dive. Expect schooling barracuda, jacks, and the occasional wobbegong shark.

Magic Mountain (Misool) — a seamount cleaning station for oceanic manta rays. Best dived on slack tide; mantas have been logged here on more than 80% of December–March visits.

Blue Magic (Dampier Strait) — reef mantas, schooling pelagics, and macro photographers’ favourite nudibranchs on a single dive.

Boo Windows (Misool) — karst light shafts pouring through twin underwater arches; one of the most-photographed dive sites in Indonesia.

Frequently Asked Questions

— I

How many dives can I do per day?

Up to four — three day dives plus one dusk or night dive. Most charters average 3.5 dives per day across a 7-day trip, for around 20–22 logged dives.
— II

Is Nitrox available?

Yes, on Lamima, Prana by Atzaró, Magia II, and Tiger Blue. Nitrox is typically billed at USD 25 per dive on top of the dive package.
— III

What is the minimum dive certification?

PADI Open Water or equivalent for the gentler Dampier Strait sites. Advanced Open Water is recommended for the channel currents at Misool and the manta cleaning stations.
— IV

Can non-divers join a liveaboard charter?

Yes — non-divers snorkel, kayak, and hike the karst viewpoints while divers descend. Many of our best snorkeling sites overlap directly with the dive sites.
