A protected bay of emerald karst inlets, perfect for kayaking, sheltered anchorages, and private island lunches.
Kabui Bay (or Teluk Kabui) is a deep, sheltered bay on the western edge of Waigeo island, ringed by karst cliffs and small islets. It is one of the calmest anchorages in Raja Ampat and a favorite stop for kayak-focused itineraries.
The bay is wide enough to spend an entire morning paddling between karst inlets without circling back. Stand-up paddleboards work just as well as kayaks here; the water is mirror-still by 6 AM.
A short tender ride from the main anchorage leads to a karst cave system with fruit bat colonies — an evening visit is the typical schedule, when the bats emerge for their night flight.
Kabui Bay is part of every charter route to Wayag. Send dates and we will design a slow, kayak-focused day at anchor.
